Hydraulic brake levers

A hydraulic brake lever is connected directly to the brake by a hydraulic hose.

Inspection

Every 3 months tighten the bolts on the brake levers to the torque specifications.

Adjustment

With some brake levers, you can change the reach, the distance from the handlebar to the lever.

To adjust the reach

1. Locate the reach adjustment screw between the lever and the handlebar, near the lever pivot.

2. To increase the reach, turn the screw in (clockwise). To reduce the reach, turn the screw out (counter-clockwise).

Lubrication

Every 3 months lubricate your brake lever pivots with SynLube or a similar light oil.
